About Us

My name is Mark Goodspeed.  My brother Gary and I launched Answer the Need in September of 2011.

Answer the Need is moving forward with a mission that God placed on our hearts. We are praying that we are truly listening to what God would have us do to bring this ministry to the world by starting here in the United States.

As our song and video say, we are Christians just the same; meaning no matter who you are or where you live, if you have accepted Christ as your Savior, you are part of the body of Christ.  That means we are all family.  Although there will continue to be the persecuted and poor until Christ's return, we all need to work to help those who truly have to fight for their faith. At the same time, that dedication lets those in power know that the people they are persecuting and killing are not alone in their fight.

You may ask, "So why then are you trying to educate people and bring about change if we can't eliminate persecution?"  Jesus said there will always be the poor among you (John 12:8).  He also said that if they persecuted Him, they will also persecute us (John 15:20).  That is true, in its harshest forms, especially today.

  It will make a difference not only to the people affected, but to the world at large, as they view what our God can do for His believers.  Seeing that kind of love and support by itself could prove to be the difference between someone staying with their current belief system and going to hell, or their coming to Christ because they saw the one true God who lives and loves.
