In this section, we want to share ways all of us can help our brothers
and sisters in Christ. An individual or group can apply the following suggestions:
- The most important thing a Christian can do for the persecuted and afflicted, is earnestly pray for God’s grace on them.
The Apostle Paul said, ”Remember those in bonds as bound with them; and them that suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body”. (Heb 13:3) We should be
willing each day to take a moment to lift them up before God in intercessory prayer.
everyone you can, so that Christians around this free and blessed country become aware of what is happening. They too can then pray and tell
others.
- Present this ministry to your pastor or Sunday school teacher. Ask them to study the website
and share with the congregation, or classroom, about our responsibility to help. Our Lord said,” Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my
brethren, you have done it unto me”. (Matt 25:40) If you saw the Lord hungry, naked and tortured, would you help Him? Whether
it is Christ or the Christian, it is the same in God’s eyes.
- If you can’t get those of
your church involved in this life saving program, you can start your own “Huddled and Hurting” ministry with Christian friends and family. Possibly one of your own missionaries is in a closed or
hostile nation and would be willing to let God use him to distribute the necessities of life to those in
need.
- At least 3 times in the New Testament, God says that you will store up treasures in heaven by giving to the poor. No matter
what financial situation you are in, everyone can do something, and God can take that something and do great things with it. If every Christian in this country only gave $1 a month, there would be
millions each month going to help those who suffer the most for our Savior. The intention here is not to be a guilt trip. The intention is, however, to be a reality check. The persecution is real.
What if you were the one persecuted?
