Female Student Murdered, Body Burned by Classmates in Nigeria

Deborah Emmanuel, a 25-year-old Christian student at the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Nigeria’s Sokoto State, was fatally beaten and her body was burned earlier today, May 12. Her classmates were incensed at a supposedly blasphemous message she had sent to a school WhatsApp group.

Algerian Government Closing Churches, Christianity Still Growing

In 2018, the ministry of religion sent a threatening letter to the church in Tizi Ouzo where Dassin serves as a worship leader.  The church, warned authorities, might be closed down because of inadequate safety equipment such as fire extinguishers.

Seven Egyptian Christians Reportedly Killed in Libya

Seven Egyptian Christians were killed on Monday near the Libyan city of Benghazi. Libyan authorities found their bodies Monday afternoon on a beach in the Jarhoutha suburb of Benghazi.

The seven were killed by gunshots in what is believed an execution of the Coptic Christians. The ages of the dead ranged from 17 to 25.

Female church workers raped and killed in South Sudan
